Currently there are almost 50 million people who face challenges in accessing health
care. Eighty percent of these individuals are American citizens and 20% are new,
legal immigrants. They are everyday people like you and me, who decide to go without
Health Insurance for a short or longer period of time, without realizing that a
single injury may lead them to bankruptcy. Moreover, the risk of suffering from
preventable health problems, disability and premature death is much escalated for
uninsured individuals.
